El Nido and it’s Unbelievable Beauty

In January 2024, my husband and I had the opportunity to travel to the Philippines for business and to experience their fantastic culture and islands. One of our favorite experiences was visiting Palawan and getting to experience the beauty of the El Nido area and its surrounding private islands. It’s an experience we will never forget.

Lio Beach Area

After landing in El Nido, we had the opportunity to explore Lio Beach before setting off the next morning to our first of two private island resort stays. The image attached to this post is of the sunset at Lio Beach, which was absolutely stunning and something I’ll never forget. 

Miniloc Island, El Nido

The next morning, we embarked by boat to stay first at Miniloc Island for several days, before heading to our personal favorite, Cauayan Island. The snorkeling at Miniloc was magical and we especially enjoyed the Jackfish feeding (which occurs daily on this island). 

Many of the islands in the El Nido area feature private resorts, meaning your resort is all that is occupying the island. Talk about a true getaway! While you’re on a private island, rest assured that your not lacking amenities and your experience will be one of amazing luxury with all-inclusive packages available. 

Cauayan Island, El Nido

Our final stop was to Cauayan Island where we spent our final several days. The food on this island was some of the best we’ve ever had while traveling and we very much enjoyed the luxury and peace that this island exuded.
