Ready to make your vacation dreams a reality?
If you’ve ever spent too much time on resort websites trying to figure out what “luxury” really means, you’re not alone.
One of the biggest questions I get when planning a trip is: “Should we do an all-inclusive or something more boutique?” And the answer isn’t as simple as one being better than the other. It’s all about which one fits you best.
Let’s talk about all-inclusive vs. boutique resorts in a way that actually makes sense.
All-inclusive vs. Boutique Resorts: Key Differences
All-inclusive resorts are great if you’re looking for ease. Meals, drinks, activities… they’re all taken care of. You can show up, check in, and just relax. No planning. No surprise bills. Everything is ready and waiting for you.
Boutique resorts, on the other hand, are usually smaller, more personal, and not as cookie-cutter. They often don’t include meals or drinks, but they make up for it with charm. The kind of place where you might have breakfast delivered in a basket or where the staff knows your name by day two.
Both sound amazing, right? But they feel very different once you’re there.
Here’s what I’ve seen.
I had a couple who thought they wanted an all-inclusive. They liked the idea of having everything in one spot and not having to make a ton of decisions. But once we talked about how they like to travel: slow mornings, little beach cafés, wandering local towns – it was clear a boutique resort would suit them better. And it did. They came back raving about the quiet, the service, the view, all of it.
And then there was the opposite. A client booked a boutique resort on her own. It looked gorgeous in the photos. But after two days of trying to find food, plan outings, and figure out transportation, she called me. What she really wanted was something low-maintenance. She didn’t want to think. She just wanted to enjoy. An all-inclusive would’ve been a much better match for what she actually needed.
All-inclusive or Boutique Resort: Which Should I Choose?
So when it comes to the all-inclusive vs. boutique resorts, the real question is: how do you want your vacation to feel?
Do you want structure or flexibility? Do you want variety or simplicity? Do you want a big property with multiple restaurants and activities, or something small and tucked away?
If you’re not sure, that’s okay. That’s where I come in.
We’ll talk about how you like to travel. What pace you enjoy. Whether you want to explore or just relax and be taken care of. Sometimes we even do a little of both. A few nights at a boutique spot to unplug. Then a few days at an all-inclusive where you don’t have to think about a thing.
You don’t need to guess or rely on reviews that don’t reflect your style. I’ll help you figure out what’s actually going to feel like the right fit and not just look good in the photos.
If you’re stuck between options and want a little guidance, let’s talk. This is what I do every day, and I’d love to help you find your perfect place.
